The ASTM D178 switchboard mats are manufactured in accordance with ASTM D178. There are 2 types: Type I (electrical protection) and Type II (additional ozone, flame, and oil resistant). The standard outlines the permissible limits for thickness from 3.2 mm to 12.7 mm, dielectric withstand strength from 1 kV to 36 kV.
