IEC 61111 Mats

ASTM D178 Mats

The IEC 61111 insulating mats from Duratuf comply with IEC 61111 standards and provide a range of voltage classes from 1 kV to 36 kV. These mats are manufactured in specified thicknesses in the range of 2 mm to 5 mm, based on the protection class required. Each class defines a set of parameters for the dielectric withstand test, allowing for the safe installation of the mats in live working zones, in front of switchboards, and other areas with energized electrical equipment, including substations and transformer rooms.

The Duratuf switchboard mats are manufactured according to ASTM D178, the most commonly referenced standard for rubber insulating mats used in the USA industries. The standard specifies two classes of mats. Class I is a general electrical insulating class, while Class II is an insulating class that also offers enhanced protection against oil, ozone, and limited flame spread. Mats are offered in thicknesses of 3.2 mm to 12.7 mm and are designed for dielectric ratings from 1 kV to 36 kV in the switchboard and distribution areas.
