Enhance Electrical Safety in Singapore's Critical Environments

Duratuf insulating mats are made for Singapore's power generation and petrochemical plants on Jurong Island, the MRT, semiconductors, and mission-critical data centers. In Singapore's controlled high-load environments, certified insulating mats lessen the risk of step and touch, surface tracking, and unintentional ground paths to energized panels. The insulating mats assist with internal safety audits and compliance with international standards

IEC 61111 Mats
ASTM D178 Mats

Duratuf mats built to IEC 61111 standards are divided into 5 classes of voltage protection, with maximum working voltages ranging from 1 kV to 36 kV. The controlled thickness range of this variant is 2 mm to 5 mm.

IEC61111 certified rubber mats for international compliance.
Tested for voltages up to 36kV for complete electrical safety.
Anti-slip surface ensures safe operation even in wet conditions.
Resistant to oil, chemicals, and mechanical wear for long lifespan.
Available in custom sizes and thicknesses for any application.
Meets all international safety standards and regulations.

Duratuf switchboard mats are manufactured in accordance with ASTM D178, a US-origin rubber insulating matting standard for use around electrical equipment. ASTM D178 describes two types: Type I – Insulating electrical grade, Type II – Insulating electrical grade that has increased oil and ozone resistance and limited flame spread. The thickness range of ASTM D178 mats is 3.2 mm to 12.7 mm, and Dielectric strength ranges from 1 kV to 36 kV.

Common Installation Areas in Singapore:

Frequently Asked Questions

What our buyers usually ask while buying electrical insulating mats

What mat thickness should I use based on my voltage level?
Different voltage levels require different mat thicknesses. You can tell us your maximum system voltage (phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth), installation configuration (indoor/outdoor), and maintenance approach (live or isolated work), and we will recommend a class and thickness range.
Are these mats compulsory under Singapore's industrial safety norms?
Although project requirements may vary, insulating mats are usually included in electrical risk mitigation programs for substations, switch rooms, and control panel areas. If your consultant has included an electrical safety clause, you may send your specification for a compliance review to us before procurement.
Will the mats be okay in a humid indoor environment with air conditioning?
Yes. Our rubber compounds will dry out and turn to dust, so we recommend different rubber grades for areas likely to be exposed to industrial oil mist or vapours.
Do you undertake technical clarifications during the pre-bid or tender stage?
Yes. In the early stages of the tender process, we can provide technical datasheets, sample compliance documents, and typical installation details. Additionally, early engagement will streamline the process for voltage class, quantity, and document requirements before the final submission.
What should be done to inspect and maintain insulating mats after installation?
Visual checks for cuts, surface damage, contamination, and aging should be done regularly. Cleaning should be done using non-corrosive agents, and damaged sections must be replaced to maintain dielectric integrity. A maintenance checklist can be shared for facility-level safety programs.
