UPS rooms and DG bays fall under the same IS 15652 class logic as any other electrical installation, it depends on the system voltage, not the type of facility. Most data centre UPS rooms operate at LT levels where Class A (3.3 kV) covers the switchgear. Generator rooms with 11 kV connections need Class B. If your campus has an HT receiving station at 33 kV, that area needs Class C. Share the system voltage for each room and we will confirm the right class before your order.
Exactly where inside a facility should IS 15652 mats be placed?
The mat goes in front of or directly under any panel, switchboard or equipment where an operator could contact a live electrical component. It must cover the full standing area in front of the equipment, not just a partial strip. Each room with a live panel needs its own compliant mat.
